Robert P. Holman, M.D.

Dr. Robert P. Holman graduated cum laude from the University of California at Davis with a major in Latin. He was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in 1982. Following an Internal Medicine internship at Grady Memorial Hospital (Emory University) in Atlanta, he returned to Georgetown University Hospital where he completed an Internal Medicine residency, after which he was named Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. After completing Infectious Diseases training at the National Institutes of Health in 1989, he opened his private practice in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine serving as both a hospital-based consultant and an outpatient physician.  He has taught Georgetown University medical residents and students for more than 20 years, continuing to this day. Dr. Holman has been widely published and honored frequently for his work. On the local level, Dr. Holman was a consulting physician on HIV/AIDS to Whitman Walker Clinic of N. VA in the early 1990’s.

Mary A. Buesing, M.D.

Mary A. Buesing, M.D.

Dr. Buesing graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University with a degree in chemistry. She graduated from Duke University Medical School in 1974 on a military health profession’s scholarship.  She then completed both Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, and was a Chief Resident before commencing a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases. She received a U.S. Army Joint Commendation Medal before leaving active duty in 1988.  After four years in private practice in Northern Virginia and Maryland, she joined the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research where she was a medical review officer for clinical trials of new drug submissions before being licensed for U.S. use. After five years at FDA, Dr. Buesing joined DuPont Pharmaceutical Co. where she headed regulatory affairs for cardiovascular and neurology drug development. In 2004, she joined Infectious Diseases and Medical Associates in Arlington. Since 2007, she also has been director of the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center at Virginia Hospital Center.  Dr. Buesing is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Professional interests include wound care, HIV, Hepatitis B and C, travel medicine and nosocomial infections.

Danielle S. Jean, M.D.

Danielle S. Jean, M.D.

Dr. Jean has trained extensively in Family Medicine and has experience in urgent care.  She has worked for The George Washington University and National Institutes of Health. After an Internship at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, PA, she completed her Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland in 2010.  Prior to joining Mid Atlantic Urgent Care, Dr. Jean had been attending physician at DC Immediate Primary Care.  She is fluent in several languages, including Creole and French.
